	A covering of snow
	The nursery sales area in February 2009. Nearly all our plants spend the winters outside which means they are usually pretty hardy in most areas of the country.

	Dragons Den
	The Dragon garden with its collection of grasses looks especially crispy under a blanket of snow.

	Empty Forum
	The Forum is host to our popular Grass Masterclasses held in the late summer but now the empty space serves to frame a magnificent eucalyptus.

	Fresh blanket of snow
	This corner of the garden where the Long Walk meets the Decennium has almost completly disappeared under recent snowfalls.

	Green Pine
	The canopy of the large pine tree in the centre of the gardens acts as an umbrella to the snow creating this intriguing island effect.

	Heavy snowfall
	When snow become sufficiently heavy the grasses lie prostrate under the weight bit seemingly miraculously recover and stand straight again once the snow melts.

	Long standing grasses
	Unequalled for their winter presence the grasses performance appears undimmed, and if anything enhanced, in the snow which sets of their winter-brown colourings almost perfectly.

	Newly laid carpet
	The Lower lawn looks quite beautiful in its newly laid carpet of snow with only the tracks of a hungry fox disturbing the even surface.

	Specimen display
	Isolated grasses, especially miscanthus, are displayed beautifully against the pure white blanket of fresh snow.

	Weighty matters
	The large bamboos arch over under the weight of freshly fallen snow completely blocking a pathway along the Bark Circle borders.
