    Mounds of green foliage produce masses of strongly vertical flower stems that bleach to beautiful straw colour later in the season. Very architectural and amongst the earliest of the tall grasses to flower. Superb for informal screening. Best in sunny open spot. Will take some moisture. Height; 1.5m -1.8m.

    Tufts of finely textured blue green foliage are topped with violet tinted purplish flowers during early summer. Flower stems often colour well as flower colour fades. Can be short lived (3 – 5 years). Sunny open spot. Soil not too wet. Height; 40cm – 60cm.

    Suitable for all levels, this relaxed, friendly session, from 10am to 3pm, in a small, informal group will help you learn new techniques for capturing the colour, shape and form of Knoll’s stunning ornamental grasses and flowering perennials.  Join experienced, friendly commercial photographer Dave Peckham, and discover how to take striking pictures within the gardens, using your camera to best effect.

    Whether it’s the detail of macro photography, the stature of plant portraiture, or perfecting depth of field for landscapes, Dave will enthusiastically share his wealth of knowledge with you, helping you to hone your skills and become a great garden photographer in your own right!

    Bring a packed lunch to enjoy while chatting to Dave and the other participants and with further opportunity to explore the beautiful gardens.

    This is the second of three stand alone classes, the others being held on 1st June and 21st September.

    Discounted tickets will only be issued if purchased with another item online and are not valid for admission to special events at the gardens. Tickets are valid for 12 months.

    Opening Times
    Tuesday to Saturday ? 10.00am ? 5.00pm (4pm November to March) Closed Sundays and Mondays, except Bank Holiday Mondays. Last entry to the garden 30 minutes before closing.
    We regret that in periods of adverse weather such as high winds, severe frost, or extreme rain the garden may be closed for safety reasons. Please call us before travelling if in any doubt.
