Calamagrostis Karl Foerster

£12.99

Mounds of green foliage produce masses of strongly vertical flower stems topped with light and airy flowers that are initially pinkish purple and are amongst the first of the tall grasses to flower each year; around mid summer. Leaves, stems and flowers all gradually bleach to a trademark straw colour as the season progresses. Very architectural and superb when used as informal screening. Best in a sunny open position but may tolerate some light shade. Happy in most soils. Height 1.5m -1.8m.
