Native sedge which can form dense clumps of tough dark green pendulous foliage. Tall graceful flowering stems with drooping yellow catkin like flowers. Sun, shade, wet or dry. Great for tough conditions but can re-seed vigorously. Height; 1.2m – 1.5m (up to 1.8m in flower in good soils).

Description

These ornamental grasses are Evergreen: Comb or rake off any old, tired or dead leaves and flowers in spring. This sedge can be cut back hard at almost any time from March to July. Ideally do not cut back in autumn or winter. Removing flower stems after flowering, and before seed sets, will help control any unwanted seedlings.
