A Knoll Gardens selection of the European native snowy wood rush, Luzula nivea, which is an introduced species to the UK and from which Snowflake was selected for its sparkling bright white flowers. Snowflake produces slowly increasing mounds of hairy wide green leaves and dense clusters of early season bright white flowers. Very effective en masse. Ideal in partial shade in damp or reasonably dry soils, but will take sun if not too dry. Height; 50cm – 60cm.

Description
These ornamental grasses are Evergreen: Comb or rake off any old, tired or dead leaves and flowers in spring. If needed evergreens can be cut back (by up to half) at almost any time from April to July. Do not cut back in autumn or winter.
These plants can be trimmed back after flowering to encourage a new sheaf of fresh foliage.
