A recent Knoll Gardens selection offering gradually spreading mounds of relatively stiff soft blue grey leaves and attractive creamy white flowers that are produced during summer. Excellent when used in drifts or as a matrix grass. Equally happy in pots and containers.
Best in sunny open positions where its foliage colour will intensify during dry periods. Happy in most soils except wet. Height 40cm – 60cm.

Description
In warmer, and drier, climates seslerias can remain evergreen but in our mild and often damp conditions they are best regarded as being semi evergreen. In practice this simply means that while the plants inclination may be to retain its foliage year-round by the end of the winter that foliage can look fairly bedraggled and so will take being trimmed back to within a few inches or so of the base any time from early spring onwards. Sesleria respond most quickly when not cut back to ground level.
