£8.55Mounds of green foliage produce masses of strongly vertical flower stems topped with light and airy flowers that are initially pinkish purple and are amongst the first of the tall grasses to flower each year; around mid summer. Leaves, stems and flowers all gradually bleach to a trademark straw colour as the season progresses. Very architectural and superb when used as informal screening. Best in a sunny open position but may tolerate some light shade. Happy in most soils. Height 1.5m -1.8m.

£12.55Tufts of finely textured blue green foliage are topped with violet tinted purplish flowers during early summer. Flower stems often colour well as flower colour fades. Can be short lived (3 – 5 years). Sunny open spot. Soil not too wet. Height; 40cm – 60cm.

Join experienced, friendly commercial photographer Dave Peckham, and discover how to take striking pictures within the gardens, using your camera to best effect.
Whether it’s the detail of macro photography, the stature of plant portraiture, or perfecting depth of field for landscapes, Dave will enthusiastically share his wealth of knowledge with you, helping you to hone your skills and become a great garden photographer in your own right!
Bring a packed lunch to enjoy while chatting to Dave and the other participants and with further opportunity to explore the beautiful gardens.
