Deschampsia, or Tufted Hair Grass, includes species native to the U.K. and produces delicate masses of cloud like flowers from average foliage during early summer. Some specialise in dry shade while others are happy in open conditions. Can be short lived, tolerant of varying soil types, and excellent for heavier and damp soils.
