A selection made in Scotland of native tufted hair grass with dark green clumps of foliage supporting comparatively tall initially dark flowers. Both flowers and leaves will dry beige as summer progresses. Happy in average to quite damp soils. Sun or light shade. Height to 1m – 1.2m.

Description
These ornamental grasses are Deciduous: Cut back stems close to ground level from late February through to the end of March. Cut stems can be left on border as natural mulch or composted.
This plant can be short lived (3 – 5 years), but division will reinvigorate.
