Compact and free flowering selection from Knoll Gardens forming neat mounds of bright green foliage topped by an abundance of delicate ruby red flowers in summer. Sunny open spot. Height; 70cm – 90cm.
Sanguisorba Ruby Red was first seen in the garden as a seedling that arose in the Mill End borders and is likely to be a form of Sanguisorba tenuifolia. As with other plant selections from Knoll Gardens it has undergone some years of trial and evaluation before being released to UK gardeners in 2023.
