These ornamental grasses are Evergreen: Comb or rake off any old, tired or dead leaves and flowers in spring.
Nassella is quick growing and the flowers can become top heavy as they dry. When needed simply cut back close to the base while the plant is in active growth to encourage new foliage. Do not cut back in autumn or winter.
This plant can be short lived (3 – 5 years), but division will reinvigorate.
